Minor 7

The minor 7 chord is one of the most common 7 chords in music. Unlike a dominant 7 or minor 7 flat 5, the minor 7 blends in harmonically and does not necessarily change the direction of a chord progression.

It can be found on the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th scale degrees. Perhaps this is why it is such a common chord! Even the major 7 (1st and 4th degree) and the dominant 7 (5th degree), the other 2 most used 7 chords cover three scale degrees together!
