Sonatina was written by Muzio Clementi, an Italian composer who lived from 1752-1832. It has proven to be his most famous piece among pianists. Clementi was most influenced by Domenico Scarlatti and Joseph Haydn.
In addition to composition, Clementi was a publisher, a piano manufacturer, a conductor, and a teacher.
